USM Community

Our commitment to responsible and ethical practices doesn’t stop at our facility doors. USM is proud to be active in the community around us. We take pride in contributing to various charitable organizations and partnerships that help make the world a better place. We are involved in a number of organizations, events, and work with other companies that share our passion for giving back and staying involved.

Currently we support over 20 charitable programs, including our 25 year commitment to JDRF, a nonprofit organization that funds type 1 diabetes research. We assist by raising funds, awareness, as well as participating in community walks, charitable galas and events at local, national, and international levels. USM participates in clothing and non-perishable food drives to assist families in need around the world!  We also sponsor the Metals4Munchkins program, USM’s very own charity organization that donates a portion of our recycling proceeds to a number of children’s charities.We sponsor a number of charitable programs, including our 25 year commitment to JDRF, a nonprofit organization that funds type 1 diabetes research.
