USM Riverdale
USM Riverdale is our newest facility operating on 10 acres, that allows us to remain one of the largest processors of steel in the Chicagoland area. Our state-of-the-art equipment ensures our ability to process large items by feeding them into our high performance, low energy consumption, low noise, and minimal dust machine that shreds the steel into smaller pieces for mills and foundries.
Material as thick as 3” can be sheared into spec sizes for melting, and our multi ram bailer compresses larger scrap clips down to a square block, customized for customer specifications. We handle larger items that cannot be put into any of our processing machines by cutting them down with a propane/oxygen torch system. Our torchers have a combined 120 years of experience in the industry and are prepared to tackle each job with the highest level of safety in mind.
